Social Responsibility

Souto Correa Advogados is committed to improving our society. We constantly seek to contribute towards building a better future by several initiatives in the field of social responsibility.


See below a sample of some of our recent projects:


• Voluntary participation of our team in the PROA Institute (São Paulo/SP), which aims to better prepare low-income young adults to join the workforce Our team provides vocational courses and coaches the participants for interviews focused on job recruitment processes;

• Voluntary participation of our team in the ISMART (abbreviation for the Portuguese translation of Social Institute to Motivate, Support and Recognize Talents), which represents a private and non-profit entity headquartered in Rio de Janeiro/RJ. The purpose of this institute is to select 12-to-15-year-old low-income talents to provide them with access to professional mentorship and development, from elementary school to college;

• Support to “Projeto Alimente”, a non-profit initiative which distributed meals to homeless people during the most critical moments of the of the Covid-19 pandemic ;

• Participation in toy, clothes and food donation campaigns directed to low-income families in partnership with many entities and associations.

In addition to the activities above, our team also participates and supports other entities on multiple fronts, aiming to develop entrepreneurship and, consequently, strengthen the national economy.


Our firm is also engaged with other initiatives to promote entrepreneurship and provide training to our team to offer our clients and society the highest quality services. Some of the initiatives are:

• Souto Correa University: a continuous program aimed at fostering ongoing education of our trainees and attorneys.
• Souto at Home: series of meeting with the participation of external guests from different backgrounds, focused on the development of relevant soft skills for professional and personal growth.
• Leadership Training for practice area heads.
• Business Skills Development Group.
• Internship Program and relevant involvement of our trainees in hands-on activities involving the daily routine of an attorney. Minor Apprentice Program.
• Encouragement and support in academic activities, such as arbitration moots.


With an aim to protect well-being, a healthy work environment, and continuous personal growth, our firm also offers:

• Mentorship program.
• Performance appraisals and feedback;
• Compliance Channel (Ethics Committee);
• Periodic work organizational climate surveys
