Professional experience

Gabriela has more than 12 years of experience in litigation and transactional work, focusing on restructuring and insolvency. She has advised debtors on the restructuring of their debt and on negotiations with their key stakeholders; creditors on maximizing their recoveries; and investors on the acquisition of distressed assets and special situations transactions. As in-house counsel at Itaú BBA, she handled complex debt restructuring and recovery matters, including cross-border structures, using strategies based on U.S. law. She has international experience as a Foreign Legal Consultant at Kobre & Kim, in New York.
