Professional experience

Fabrine Hartog is a partner and head of the Shipping & Ports practice. She has more than 15 years of experience in commercial transactions and disputes involving the Maritime, Port, and Oil & Gas sectors, both at the administrative level and in judicial proceedings and arbitrations. She holds an LL.M. from the University of Aberdeen (United Kingdom – 2019) and an MBA from FGV (Rio de Janeiro – 2016). In 2022, she was recognized as one of the most renowned female lawyers in Rio de Janeiro by Análise Advocacia, and in 2024 and 2025 by Brazil’s Best Lawyers. She is a Member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (CIArb) and is named on the arbitrators’ list of the Brazilian Center for Mediation and Arbitration (CBMA).

 

Education

  • Master’s degree (LL.M) in International Commercial Law with a concentration in arbitration in the Oil and Gas Sector from the University of Aberdeen, UK.
  • Post-graduation from Fundação Getulio Vargas (FGV/RJ)
  • Law Degree from Universidade Cândido Mendes, Brazil.
