Professional experience

A specialist in complex litigation, Beatriz represents companies across a wide range of industries, including hospitality, technology, entertainment, human and animal healthcare, food, and civil construction. She has more than 15 years of experience in legal practice.

Beatriz has a well-established practice in both domestic and international arbitration involving infrastructure projects and commercial and corporate disputes. She has particular expertise in matters concerning the interaction between arbitration proceedings and the Judiciary, acting in multiple areas such as interim relief, arbitral letters (carta arbitral), annulment actions, and enforcement of arbitral awards. In matters involving arbitration clauses that have also been pursued before state courts, her experience includes representing companies in the hospitality sector in disputes against securitization companies, involving the issuance of real estate receivables certificates (CRIs), allegations of breach of contract, and disputes over the release of collateral.
In addition, Beatriz acts in strategic litigation involving medical law and supplementary health insurance, providing both contentious and advisory services, as well as representation in administrative proceedings. In this area, her work includes strategic lawsuits brought by consumers involving disputes over the treatment of Autism Spectrum Disorder.

With regard to intellectual property, copyright, and entertainment litigation, Beatriz represents clients in disputes arising from agreements with record labels and publishers, including claims related to infringement of rights, contractual breaches, rendering of accounts, and accounting audits.

Beatriz also has experience in administrative and regulatory law, advising clients throughout all stages of public procurement proceedings, including judicial review, writs of mandamus, and annulment actions.

She has substantial experience defending clients in sensitive public civil actions and citizen suits, involving environmental matters and issues under the Brazilian Consumer Protection Code. She also has extensive experience in litigation related to product liability.

Finally, Beatriz is active in preventive and consensual dispute resolution, representing clients in contract management and crisis management matters.
