Souto Correa reinforces the arbitration team

Laura Ghitti is the firm new senior arbitration lawyer.

She joined on January 23 at the São Paulo office.

Laura has over ten years of experience in commercial arbitration and dispute resolution. She has worked in renowned national and international law firms in Paris and Buenos Aires. In addition, she acts in arbitration entities such as the Brazilian Arbitration Committee (CBAr), where she coordinates the Investment Arbitration Study Group since 2019.

According to Luís Alberto Salton Peretti, Souto Correa’s partner in the arbitration area, Laura gives the firm more strength to deal with the demands of local and global clients. “Through her relevant international background, she understands the functioning of arbitral tribunals and can act as an arbitrator in complex cases. At the local level, it is important to highlight her work as a lawyer in arbitration cases involving public administration, a dispute resolution mechanism in full expansion in Brazil,” said Peretti.

Souto Correa’s counseling covers all procedures related to national and international arbitration disputes, mediations, negotiations, and other alternative forms of dispute resolution (ADRs), also gives the support, and elaborates the strategy to be used in each case, the negotiation, and drafting arbitration clauses. The multidisciplinary team brings together experienced professionals in the area, who act not only in representing and advising clients, but also in the role of arbitrators and mediators.
