Professional experience

Laura Ghitti has worked in international and domestic arbitration cases in commercial and investment matters, both as counsel, arbitrator and as secretary to arbitral tribunals. She has assisted national and foreign clients in matters related to telecommunications, concession contracts, M&A, corporate contracts, real state, data regulation and cyber.

She has represented clients in Brazil’s most significant M&A and concession arbitrations.

She has worked in law firms in Paris (Dechert LLP, Linklaters) and Buenos Aires (Beretta Godoy). She did an internship with the secretariat of the court of arbitration of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), in Paris.

Laura has extensive experience in cases related to States and state entities. She has represented clients in complex mediation proceedings.

She recurrently speaks at events on commercial and investment arbitration, and related topics, both in Brazil and abroad.

She has acted in cases before the leading arbitration chambers in Brazil and abroad, such as ICC, CAM-CCBC, CIESP/FIESP, CAM-B3, FGV, CAMARB, ARBITAC, LCIA, PCA and Centro de Análisis y Resolución de Conflictos PUCP (Lima, Peru). She also has experience with ad-hoc arbitrations conducted in accordance with the UNCITRAL rules.
