Union Relations and Collective Negotiations

Souto Correa is well aware that labor unions in all industries have faced challenges and, thus, have been perfecting their modus operandi. Therefore, the firm developed its structure by joining experienced professionals with multidisciplinary profiles, specialized in negotiation techniques and in the most diverse areas of law and business. As a result, the quality of its services has increased in face of the demands in connection with the relationship between companies and labor unions.

Our aim is to obtain better results in collective bargaining, adopting a proactive stance and holding a holistic view of each of our clients’ businesses. We seek to add value by contributing to the development and implementation of strategies to overcome the difficulties imposed by union activities. Accordingly, not only do we manage the negotiations themselves, but we work closely with these companies to identify opportunities and offer solutions to ensure the continuity of their productive activities and boost their results. To this end, our professionals typically interact with parties from many of our clients’ areas, such as Legal, Operations, Resources, Human Resources, Administrative, and Financial.

Our negotiation team consists of Paulo Souto, Patricia Alves, Joel Gallo, Eduardo Mascarenhas, and Manoela Pascal, who all have wide experience and training on the subject. Paulo Souto, who stands out in leading union relations and bargaining matters, is a graduate of Harvard’s “Negotiation and Leadership” program and is regarded as an “experienced negotiator”, in addition to being “noted for his stellar work in relation to the management of strikes and collective dismissals” (Legal 500). The entire team is featured in many rankings, such as Análise Advocacia, Leaders League, WWL, and Legal 500.
